ScoutManage Tips

Den Tasks



  • Send email to den
    • From ScoutManage Home Page, select your Den (or use menus: DenDen xxxHome Page)
    • Click on Den xxx Message Management button
    • Click on Click here to create new message
    • Select the scouts to send email to (or click top box to select ALL scouts)
    • Select Method:
      • To email using ScoutManage , select Deliver message using ScoutManage
        • Click Get email addresses button
        • Select desired list (usually Including Invited but not yet accepted users and Comma Separated) and copy/paste into your email program.
      • To email using your own email client, select Deliver message using external email program (NOTE: sometimes, these emails get rejected by spam, etc...)
        • Select Yes if you would like it displayed on the den home page
        • Type in Subject and Message and then click Send Message

  • Add den achievements for multiple scouts - video
    • From ScoutManage Home Page, select your Den (or use menus: DenDen xxxHome Page)
    • Click on Den xxx Achievements button
    • Select Mode:
      • If you completed part or all of one or more achievement, select Enter detailed requirements for one achievement (Always use this for Rank Advancement - Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, Webelos)
      • If you completed an entire Rank, Pin, or Beltloop, select Add an earned achievement to selected members
    • Select the scouts that worked on the achievement (or click top box to select ALL scouts)
    • Select the award/achievement to mark (typically Cub Scouts Advancement or Cub Scouts Webelos Activity Badge in 2nd column)
    • Click Continue to Step 4 button
    • Select the date the items were completed
    • If you selected Enter detailed requirements, you will now be able to select which scouts completed which portions of the activity
    • Click Submit button

  • Add achievements for a scout
    • Select ScoutSelect...
    • Click on desired Scout
    • Click on Add New Achievement

  • Print den roster/details
    • From ScoutManage Home Page, select Roster under your Den (or use menus: DenDen xxxRoster)




Pack Tasks


  • Send email to pack
    • From ScoutManage Home Page, select your PackSend Messages
    • Select the scouts to send email to (or click top box to select ALL scouts and/or leaders, or select top box in den to select entire den, etc...
    • Select Method:
      • To email using ScoutManage , select Deliver message using ScoutManage
        • Click Get email addresses button
        • Select desired list (usually Including Invited but not yet accepted users and Comma Separated) and copy/paste into your email program. NOTE: Some email programs have a limit to the number of addresses you can send to. If so, you can manually split it into two lists.
      • To email using your own email client, select Deliver message using external email program (NOTE: sometimes, these emails get rejected by spam, etc...)
        • Select Yes if you would like it displayed on the den home page
        • Type in Subject and Message and then click Send Message

  • Add pack event (Scouting For Food, Kickball, etc...) - video
    • Select AdminPack 69 Custom Achievements
    • Click New Achievement Button
    • Enter Achievement Name (typically Event Name Year) and then Type (Unit Specific Award)
    • Click Create button

  • Add attendance for pack event
    • Select PackBulk Achievements
    • Select Mode:
      • If scout completed a pack event, pin, or beltloop, select Add an earned achievement
      • If scout completed and was awarded a pack event, pin, or beltloop, select Add an earned achievement to selected members
    • Select the scouts that worked on the achievement (or click top box to select ALL scouts)
    • Select the award to mark (typically Pack 69 Specific in 2nd column)
    • Click Continue to Step 4 button
    • Select the date the items were completed
    • Click Submit button

  • Print list of awards to purchase
    • PackPurchase/Present

  • Edit leader position
    • AdminLeader Setup
    • Select pulldown menu next to specific leader to add a new position
    • Click the Red X to remove a position from a specific leader

  • Add new scout or leader - video
